Registration for Groups

  • Registration is required. Group Leaders are instructed not to admit any children who are not on the registration list.
  • The online form opens on Wednesday at 10:00 AM.
  • You must be logged in to your YIH member account to access the form. If you do not know how to log in, please click here or call the YIH office at 954-966-7877.

Locations & Schedule

Locations:

3-year-olds: Room 6 (upstairs)
Pre-K: Room 3 (upstairs)
Kindergarten: Room 4 (upstairs)
Grades 1-2: Room 5 (upstairs)
Grades 3-4: Modular (across street)

Please drop off at these locations.

Schedule:

9:00: Rooms open, quiet activity with Group Leaders
9:30: Davening
10:00: Period 1
10:40: Period 2
11:20: Kiddush in tent
11:30: Dismissal from tent.

Children MUST be picked up at the tent at 11:30 AM. Children who are picked up late may not be admitted back to Groups the following week.

What are "Period 1" and "Period 2"?

We want the kids to be able to play outside unmasked.

During Period 1, some of the groups will be indoors, learning about the Parsha and participating in other indoor activities led by their Group Leaders, while others will be playing outdoors. During Period 2, they switch.

 


Groups Rules & COVID Safety Info

The expectations listed below can also be found on the registration form. By registering your child for Groups, you agree to all of the rules listed here:

EXPECTATIONS OF CHILDREN ATTENDING GROUPS:

  • Children are required to wear masks (covering mouth and nose) at all times while indoors.
  • Children are expected to adhere to social distancing rules, which will be explained and enforced by the Group Leaders.
  • Children are expected to follow all instructions of Group Leaders and to behave in a manner that shows respect to the Group Leaders and other children.
  • Children who repeatedly do not follow these expectations may not be admitted to Shabbat Morning Groups in the future.

EXPECTATIONS OF PARENTS:

By registering your child for Groups, you agree to the following statements:

  • I will not register, or allow to attend Groups, any child who has exhibited the following symptoms in the past 14 days: cough, chills, headache, sore throat, lost of taste or smell, diarrhea, or fever.
  • I will not register, or allow to attend Groups, any child who has had any known close contact with a person who is lab-confirmed to have COVID-19, or with someone being tested for COVID -19 within 10 days from the last exposure, unless my child has been vaccinated.
  • I will immediately notify Avi Frier, Rabbi Weinstock, or Rabbi Frieberg if, within 14 days before or after attending Groups, my child...
           ...has tested positive for COVID-19, OR
           ...has been tested for COVID-19, but the results have not yet been determined, OR
           ...has had any known close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19
  • I understand that in case of a possible exposure to COVID-19, the Young Israel of Hollywood-Ft. Lauderdale (YIH) may deem it necessary to notify potential close contacts using my child's name, and I hereby grant permission for YIH to do so. I also grant permission to my child's school to disclose information about possible exposures to COVID-19 that may affect my child.
  • I agree to remain on the YIH premises at all times while my child is attending Groups.
  • I agree to pick up my child from Groups no later than 11:30 AM sharp.
  • I understand that YIH may, at its sole discretion, disallow any child from attending Groups, and that I will not allow my child to attend groups if he/she has been disallowed from attending.
