High Holiday Child Care

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Child care will not be offered at the club on Yom Kippur. We will still walk older children from the club to the shul for groups. If this is a problem for you, we may be able to arrange seating for you at the shul so that you can benefit from the child care and groups offered there. call the YIH office at 954-966-7877 and speak to Sara.

About High Holiday Child Care

  • Pre-registration is required for High Holiday youth programs and babysitting.
  • Register at the bottom of this page.
  • The cost for child care is $50 per child for Rosh Hashanah; $40 per child for Yom Kippur.
  • Space permitting, unregistered children will be admitted; your account will be billed $60 per child for Rosh Hashanah; $50 for Yom Kippur.
  • Lunch will be served on Yom Kippur at all childcare locations. If your child has any allergies, please notify the babysitters upon drop-off.
  • If you will be at the Club, please note that children in Pre-K through 3rd grade will be walked to the shul for Groups. Please see the schedule for departure and return times.

Club Walking Group Procedures

  • At the departure time, the children meet in the lobby of the club to go to the shul.
  • Everyone who walks to the shul will have a color-coded wristband placed on their wrists.
  • Anyone who misses the walking group may be dropped off at the shul. Upon check-in there, those who need to be walked back to the club will also be given a wristband. Please note that child care is not provided at the Club for children in Pre-K through 4th grade once the walking group has departed.
  • While walking to and from the shul, the following procedures are followed:
    • Karen or Avi walks in the front
    • One of the group leaders walks in the back to keep the group together
    • Remaining group leaders spread out in between
    • For added safety, while walking, younger children will hold onto a rope

General Guidelines

  • Please, no sick children are allowed
  • Upon arrival, please check in and introduce yourself and your child(ren) to the group leader(s)
  • Please check on your children periodically
  • Children will be released TO PARENTS ONLY (except for those being walked back to the club)
  • No food, small toys, candy, etc. may be brought in.

Please note: Rosh Hashana registration will only be open until 3:00 PM on Monday, September 6. Yom Kippur registration will close at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 15.
