Dear All,

Rabbi Frieberg and I, in coordination with the Executive Board, have come to the painful decision that our shul will be closed, effective immediately.

As new information has been made available it has become clear to me that this is our best Halachic course of action and appropriate out of an abundance of caution and to avoid contributing to the current danger to public health.  Precautionary steps at this stage may enable us to reopen sooner than were we to wait.

This closure applies to all Shabbat and weekday minyanim and shiurim until further notice. The Mikvah will remain open.

Everyone should daven in their own homes. "House minyanim" should not meet. Rabbi Frieberg and I will be davening at home this Shabbat. In the absence of a tzibbur, you should daven at the same time that your preferred minyan normally meets. It is appropriate to read the weekly Parsha from a  Chumash (Ki Tisa and Parah).

We will send out additional information after Shabbat. Rabbi Frieberg and I remain available by cell phone and e-mail to answer any questions and to provide help during these challenging and uncertain times.

Wishing you all a Shabbat of strength and health and resilience.

~ Rabbi Yosef Weinstock
