Simchat Torah Auction - Online Pre-Bidding Open Now!
BIG NEWS: You can now pre-bid online for Simchat Torah Kibudim; you can also bid on your very own exclusive premium parking space at YIH!
Online pre-bidding will close at noon on Hoshana Rabba, Sunday, October 16, 2019. The highest bids at that time will be our starting bids in the live auction on Simchat Torah night.
In addition to the Simchat Torah honors that we auction off every year, we are auctioning an exclusive parking space at YIH---the closest possible space to the front doors of the shul! The winner of this space will have a personalized RESERVED sign designating the space as exclusively yours, with parking PROHIBITED by all others. The spot will remain exclusively yours until the day after Simchat Torah 5781.
All proceeds from the parking space auction will go directly to the YIH Youth Department.
You must be logged into your YIH member account to bid.

Important YIH Youth Yom Kippur schedule corrections
There are several time errors in the printed Yom Kippur youth schedule. We apologize that we did not catch these errors before the booklet was printed and emailed out.
All times displayed in bold print differ from the printed and PDF versions of the announcements.
Important notes:
- Reminder: You must pre-register for child care. The cost is $20 for Yom Kippur. Click here to pre-register now. Registration will remain open until 3:00 PM on Erev Yom Kippur.
- Space permitting, unregistered children will be admitted; your account will be billed $28 per child.
- Lunch will be served at all childcare locations. If your child has any allergies, please notify the babysitters upon dropoff.
- If you will be at the Club, please note that children in Pre-K through 3rd grade will be walked to the shul at 10:30am and will return to the Club at 2:30pm.
- CLUB WALKING GROUP PROCEDURES:
- At 10:30 AM, the children meet in the lobby of the club to go to the shul.
- Everyone who walks to the shul will have a color-coded wristband placed on their wrists.
- Anyone who misses the walking group may be dropped off at the shul. Upon check-in there, those who need to be walked back to the club will also be given a wristband. Please note that child care is not provided at the Club for children in Pre-K through 3rd grade from 10:30am - 2:30pm.
- While walking to and from the shul, the following procedures are followed:
- Karen or Avi walks in the front
- One of the group leaders walks in the back to keep the group together
- Remaining group leaders spread out in between
- For added safety, while walking, younger children will hold onto a rope
