Pre-Simchat Torah Early Hakafot for the little ones

At 4:30 PM on Shemini Atzeret, there will be early Hakafot in the social hall for children who may be too young to stay up for Hakafot on Simchat Torah night.

Parents are urged to join us, and bring your loudest singing voices and danciest dancing feet!

Kol HaNearim Candy Kiddush

This year's Kol HaNearim Candy Kiddush is sponsored by Sharon & Avi Frier in memory of Shaani Splaver.

After the Kol HaNearim Aliyah, all children are invited to exit the sanctuary through the back doors and pass through the social hall, where they will each receive a goody bag.

Need Community Service Hours for school? Here are some opportunities...

  • Join us at the shul today at 5:35pm (one hour before Mincha) to pack candy bags for the Kol HaNearim Candy Kiddush (we recommend getting ready for Yom Tov early and staying for Mincha after we pack the bags).
  • Come to the youth hakafot tomorrow (Shemini Atzeret) at 4:15pm. Help us set up and keep the singing and dancing going.
  • Come to Hakafot on Simchat Torah night to help get the younger kids involved in the dancing.
  • Join us at the Simchat Torah Teen BBQ to learn about an amazing new service & leadership opportunity starting soon in our shul.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Sukkah Hop, and thanks in advance to all who plan to help with the above three events. It's very hard to keep track of who worked on Shabbat and Yom Tov, so please contact Avi Frier after Yom Tov with a reminder of when you worked: avi@yih.org or 954-483-3654.
