Sisterhood Purim Project

Each year on Purim we join together to hear the reading of the Megillah, and we distribute Mishloach Manot to our friends and family in celebration. It’s a day marked by Mitzvot, excitement and festivities.
In an effort to continue our Young Israel of Hollywood Sisterhood’s tradition of bringing Purim cheer to those less fortunate, we are hosting a special packing party to help two very important causes - Holocaust Survivors through The Dorit & Ben J. Genet Cupboard and the children of families of JAFCO (Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options). In addition to helping these two worthy causes, your donation will also be going to the YIH Sisterhood which provides programs and events for our community.
You can participate in this Mitzvah by sponsoring a Mishloach Manot Package for $118 that will be distributed to a survivor or child.

This year’s Purim Packing Party will be held at the Young Israel of Hollywood/ Ft. Lauderdale on Sunday March 17, 2019. People and children of all ages are welcome. Students can receive community service hours for volunteering. We will also need volunteers to deliver packages to the holocaust survivors.
