Parent-Child Woodworking

Scroll down for FAQs and registration.

FAQs:

What ages can participate?

There is no minimum age; it's up to the parents to determine whether your child can handle the activity.

Here is what is involved:

  • Assembling wood parts using glue, clamps, hammer, and nails (we provide kid-size hammers)
  • Sanding and painting
  • Attaching one component using a screwdriver

There are no steps that require power tools or cutting of any kind. All wood is precut for this project.

Do I need to attend with my child?

Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. For children 10 and up, adult supervision is recommended but not required.

If we can't participate on October 2, can we still do the project?

If there are extra sets available on the day of the activity, we will record the instructions and make the video will available on YouTube. You will have the option to purchase the extra sets for $18.

If you have a question not answered above, please email avi@yih.org and we'll add it!
